A PHP Developer / eCommerce Lead role in a young, highly creative product design agency who’s outdoor and travel accessory products populate every major department store world-wide. They are long established, 80 people world-wide and people come first - they are independent.
As an independent product design agency, people come first and there is next to zero people turnover. Careers are progressed. The London studio team is the main creative hub with inspiring designers, a Creative Directors and excellent studio managers.
Their yearly catalogue of products are highly fashionable and ingeniously useful. They are a multi-million pound turn-over company.
They have satellite offices around the world to co-ordinate production and distribution.
This PHP Developer role is also acting as the Head of E-commerce. The sites do need to be re-built across multiple territories, languages and currencies, but this role will also lead and consult on the overall vision of the e-commerce sites.
You will need to have the overall vision, manage your tasks and be able brief content and graphics people on what you need. You will also need experience of the factors that drive traffic and be able to consult on good UX, affiliate, data management, search marketing, social media integration, mobile and more. The role is hands-on tech lead and e-commerce lead.
Together with the Creative Director The PHP Developer role will guide senior management with good knowledge of commercial implications.
Tech wise you will need to be well versed in OOP PHP development, AJAX and SQL, and have a dedicated attitude toward creating and constructing clean, well-documented, and structured code.
A PHP developer with:
- Experience of working with PHP frameworks ( ideally Symfony 1.X, Symfony 2 )
- Experience with JavaScript libraries, jQuery.
- Solid understanding of CSS, HTML5 and web standards
