This role works into the Head of the Content Marketing practice, who is a major selling point for this role. The Head, not only known as the nicest man in the agency world, he has been Head of Social Media / Content at top 5 global agencies. To be at this senior level and still have a great, inspiring person to work with and into, I think makes this a great opportunity.
The Head of Content Marketing has grown the team from scratch to 10 people within a 60 person strategic, creative communications agency. This person now has the perfect agency culture they wanted, without the politics, a great, intelligent, caring team. Other ad and marketing agencies within the Group are in the same building, making this a vibrant 200+ agency hub.
The Content Marketing team acts as lead global agency with their clients who are a mixture of consumer and corporate brands. For example a major global beer brand to a respected global corporate brand.

You’ll be an experienced digital/content marketer with the ability to lead client thinking and drive award-winning creative campaigns which deliver business results with a variety of consumer brands and corporates”
Aspects of the Digital Content Marketing Director role:
Strategic – excellent understanding of marketing principles across all channels, but with a focus on digital/content.
Creativewrite inspiring briefs which energise the team, working with the Creative department, as well as the account team members, to develop ideas.
Client management – You’ll need to be a natural at taking clients on the journey.
Leadership - You’ll help manage, develop and lead the digital/content team within the agency.
Technical— You’ll be fascinated by new technologies and emerging trends, and how these can help solve marketing challenges. You’ll be thoroughly familiar with measuring channel performance effectiveness. You’ll have a good grasp of paid digital solutions (including PPC, social, display, retargeting and native). You’ll also be able to advise on SEO, UX and digital production.
Ideally you will be from a great digital or creative advertising agency, rather than a PR agency.
